Verruca Removal via Laser

At Perfect Image Consultants in Harrow, London, we offer expert laser verruca removal using safe, effective, and advanced techniques to treat stubborn verrucas. Our state-of-the-art laser technology precisely targets the verruca, destroying the infected tissue at its root rather than just treating the surface—an approach that often has poor success rates. This method offers a definitive solution, making it an ideal choice for those struggling with persistent verrucas

Why Choose Laser Verruca Removal Over Creams or Home Remedies?

• Faster Results – Laser treatment effectively destroys verrucas in a single session, unlike creams that can take months to show results or freezing therapy, which often requires multiple treatments.

• Higher Success Rate – Over-the-counter and home remedies often fail to treat deep-rooted or stubborn verrucas. Laser therapy provides a more reliable and complete solution.

• Minimal Pain & Scarring – Laser treatment is precise and minimally invasive, reducing the risk of discomfort and scarring compared to acids or cryotherapy.

• Prevents Spread & Recurrence – By targeting the virus at its source, laser therapy helps prevent the verruca from spreading or coming back—something topical treatments may not achieve

1. Before the treatment

Before proceeding with laser verruca removal, your doctor will assess the verruca(s) to ensure that laser treatment is the most suitable option. While verrucas are generally easy to identify, an examination will be conducted to confirm the diagnosis, and your medical history will be reviewed to ensure the treatment is safe for you. In most cases, patients can proceed with the treatment on the same day.

2. DURING the treatment

The doctor will begin by marking the verruca(s) that require removal. To ensure maximum comfort, a local anaesthetic will be administered to numb the area. The laser will then be used to precisely target and cauterise the verruca, effectively destroying the infected tissue while stimulating the body’s natural healing response. The procedure is quick, efficient, and minimally invasive, ensuring a comfortable and effective treatment experience.

Frequently ASKED QUESTIONS

The actual laser treatment is not painful. A local anaesthetic is given to numb the area, which can be a bit uncomfortable but is short-lived. Some soreness or tenderness may occur post-treatment as the skin heals, but it is usually manageable.

Only one session of laser treatment is required for effective verruca removal. However, depending on the size, depth, and number of verrucas, a follow-up treatment may be necessary. Your doctor will assess the situation during the consultation.

Laser treatment removes the verruca at its root, and in our experience of treating these for many years, the recurrence rate has been less than 1%. As it is caused by a virus, there is no treatment modality that can guarantee no risk of recurrence. However, compared to other traditional methods such as cryotherapy and salicylic acid, laser treatment is far superior in both treatment and prevention of recurrence.
