*”Two words…Dr Silva! Another two words…Dr Apul. From my first visit Dr Silva made me feel like I had come to visit a friend, as well as Julie who was immensely friendly and happy to look after my then 4 month old baby whilst I spoke to Dr Silva about my problem. 9 years ago I was attacked by a dog. It bit through my face around my mouth into my cheeks. It was a very traumatic experience at the time but although I healed fairly well the scars were still visible, especially the big one on my left cheek near to my mouth. This left an excess amount of skin around the scar as well as a big lump of scar tissue underneath. Dr Silva has been amazing because he doesn’t see me as just another patient but as someone who he genuinely wants to help. He is a very charismatic man who is entertaining in his demeanour but at the same time a very warm caring person who knows what he is talking about and is very professional. Yesterday I had surgery on the scar that I mentioned on my left cheek. Dr Silva was paramount in the entire process and responsible for my local anesthetic which worked wonders and I didn’t feel a thing (which I had been very nervous about prior to the operation)! Dr Apul was responsible for the surgery itself and he also did an amazing job. He didn’t come in as just a surgeon who was very serious and as many surgeons are “just want to get the job done”. He, like Dr Silva, was very attentive and wanted to ensure the best possible outcome from the operation. I am happy to say I felt no pain and since then have not felt any pain, only a mild itching, which of course is crucial to the healing process. Once the lump and excess skin was removed I saw the scar and I was relieved as it looked so much better than I thought it would and I am confident that it will fully heal and hardly be visible in the months to come. I could easily write an essay here but then you wouldn’t read much further but I want to finish by saying that I have visited a few clinics in the past and this is by far the best. I live in Ruislip, where the clinic is based, and am proud that we have amazing doctors here who cater for everyone and unlike some ‘harley street’ doctors they genuinely do seem to care and it’s very heartwarming.
