tattoo removal

At Perfect Image Consultants we achieve desired tattoo removal results with a Q switched Nd-YAG laser.

The extent of tattoo removal depends on the type of tattoo, size, colours and type of pigments originally used.

We advise you to carefully consider tattoo removal before treatment as not all tattoo inks respond to laser treatment and certain colours may even become darker.

what to expect

Before Treatment

You will agree on the treatment area with your doctor and local anaesthetic will be injected to ensure the treatment is not uncomfortable.

During Treatment

You will be given protective eyewear and the treatment may feel like an elastic band being flicked against your skin.

After Treatment

Tattoo removal laser treatment may cause a superficial skin reaction post-procedure. This is normal and immediate whitening of the treated area usually lasts for several minutes. You may then develop blisters, crusts-, or scabs within 12-72 hours which, in most cases, last 1-2 weeks. Your recovery time may be prolonged depending on the scale of the treatment you receive.  Once the scab separates, treated areas commonly appear pink or pale with loss of skin pigment, which is usually temporary.

The number of tattoo removal sessions required varies between cases. Most tattoos require-, 6-12 treatments over several months-, More challenging cases may need 15-20 sessions over a longer period.
