Here at Perfect Image Consultants, we use our lasers to remove moles, warts and skin tags as it is a painless treatment and gives a perfect result. Our practitioners believe lasers are an alternative, more effective treatment than surgical removal, cryotherapy, radiofrequency or chemical methods.
Mole removal treatment protocol
Please note the mole removal treatment protocol is the same for wart removal and skin tag removal.
Before mole removal treatment
Firstly, your doctor will assess your areas of concern and advise you whether further investigation (histology) is required. If so, the necessary arrangements can be made and occasionally patients are then referred in order to confirm that there are no contraindications. Prior to booking a consultation, we would also advise patients to consult their GP for advice.
During mole removal treatment
A doctor will first mark any lesion (s) to be removed and local anaesthesia will be given at each site. Then the laser will be employed to cauterise each lesion. This entire procedure is quick and comfortable.
After mole removal treatment
As there is no downtime, you may leave the clinic whenever you are ready. However, the treated area will look ‘scabby’ and be much darker than the surrounding skin. This first scab will fall off within 5-7 days, after which another scab will form and fall off in the following 14 days. After the initial healing period, the appearance of the treated area will improve and a very light mark, if any, may be left behind.
For most of our mole removal, skin tag removal and wart removal treatments no stitches are needed and chances of any scarring are minimal.

There is a small car park at the Harvester restaurant which is at the rear of Roberts House or the St. Martins Approach car park alternatively you may park in any of the quiet, residential streets near the clinic without charge.
