During the treatment

The treatment areas will be agreed between you and your practitioner and marked. There is generally no need to apply topical anaesthesia before the treatment. Our medical staff will use a very fine needle to inject the botulinum toxin just below the skin’s surface. You will be given several injections into the area being treated. There is very little discomfort and the entire treatment takes about 30 minutes. If excessive sweating in the arm pit area is being treated, then we ask that you shave your armpits on the day of your treatment.

After the treatment

There is no recovery time and you would expect to note an improvement after 7-10 days and total dryness should be achieved after two weeks. The results usually last 6-8 months, maybe longer, but this varies from person to person. The effects may not last as long on the hands and feet.
