At our clinic we use hyaluronic acid based fillers, this is a compound which is naturally found in the body. These products can contain, an anaesthetic, which makes the procedure more comfortable. We also use a longer lasting filler which contains calcium hydroxyapatite product

what to expect

This is a non-surgical treatment that will be carried out by a fully qualified doctor or nurse.

Before the treatment

The areas will be agreed between you and your practitioner and marked. Topical anesthesia maybe applied 20 – 30mins before the treatment for added comfort.

During the treatment

The dermal filler is injected into the areas agreed. The treatment takes 20-40 minutes depending on the number of lines treated.

After the treatment

There is generally no recovery time. The effects of dermal fillers are immediate, however you may experience some redness and swelling which will take a 24-48 hours to settle down.

Dermal filler usually last about 6 – 8 months.

Most products these days contain Lidocaine, which is used to numb the tissue, therefore the discomfort during the procedure is greatly reduced. The pain will also depend on where the dermal filler is inject, for example the lip filler will be more sensitive. 

How long do the results last?

The results vary depending on the type of dermal filler used. On average facial fillers will last about 6 months, after which either a top-up will be required or another session.
