Dr. Asoka Silva graduated from the University of Colombo in 1974, marking the inception of a distinguished medical career that spans decades. His pursuit of excellence led him to attain a Fellowship in Anaesthesia from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1980, followed by admission to the Fellowship of Anaesthesia of the Royal College of Surgeons in London in 1981. In 1982, he further solidified his credentials by becoming a member of the Royal College of Physicians.
Having administered anaesthesia to over 39,000 patients, Dr. Silva is a hugely experienced doctor. His professional interests extend beyond anaesthesia to include aesthetics and cosmetic procedures, which is what led to the formation of Perfect Image Consultants Ltd. in 2009 in our former Ruislip premises.
As the Director at Perfect Image Consultants, Dr. Silva assumes a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of care and service delivery. Whilst he is now semi-retired and has removed himself from the GMC register, he retains his leadership over the company and still keeps his hand in by seeing patients for a number of aesthetic treatments.
Upon Dr Silva’s semi-retirement in 2025, Dr. Janani Bodhinayake was promoted to the role of Medical Director.
Dr Bodhinayake qualified from University College London Medical school in 2006. Her postgraduate training took her across various renowned institutions, including London teaching hospitals, as well as overseas for experience in New Zealand, where she specialised in Paediatrics, and Canada, where she delivered Family Practice and HIV Medicine.
In 2013, Dr. Bodhinayake qualified as a General Practitioner (GP), using her extensive training and expertise to provide comprehensive healthcare services to her patients. Her career path led her to practice in both private and NHS settings, where she gained invaluable experience in delivering quality healthcare to diverse patient populations.
After developing an interest in the safe and effective removal of benign skin lesions Dr Bodhinayake completed further training in Laser treatments and Dermoscopy. This specialisation reflects her commitment to staying at the forefront of medical advancements and providing up to date, effective treatments to her patients.
In 2020, Dr. Bodhinayake brought her wealth of experience and specialised skills to the Perfect Image team, where she continues to excel in her role. Her dedication to patient care, coupled with her special interest in Dermatology and experience as a medical doctor, enriches the services offered by Perfect Image, ensuring that clients receive the highest standard of care in skin health and lesion removal.
Shannon Lister embarked on her healthcare journey in the early 1990s, driven by a passion for compassionate patient care and a keen interest in human anatomy. Her dedication to excellence saw her earn qualifications as a registered nurse, midwife, community health nurse, and psychiatric nurse, each credential marking a milestone in her pursuit of holistic healthcare provision.
Notably, Shannon’s exceptional empathy and dedication to her patients were acknowledged when she shared the trophy for the most compassionate nurse of her intake, a testament to her unwavering commitment to the well-being of those under her care.
Beyond her clinical practice, Shannon extends her influence as an Obagi product supplier and clinical educator, sharing her wealth of knowledge and experience with fellow healthcare professionals. Through her multifaceted roles, she continues to champion excellence and innovation in healthcare, leaving an indelible mark on both her patients and peers alike.
Sarah Curtis earned her 2:1 honours degree in nursing from Cardiff University in 2007, marking the inception of a distinguished career in critical care nursing. Following her graduation, Sarah embarked on her professional journey in Cardiff, where she honed her skills as a dedicated critical care nurse.
In pursuit of further challenges and opportunities for growth, Sarah made the transition to London in 2011, where she assumed the role of a senior intensive care nurse. Over the course of her 12-year career as a registered nurse, Sarah has garnered extensive experience across a diverse range of healthcare settings, demonstrating her adaptability and expertise in providing high-quality patient care.
Sarah started her Aesthetics career in 2017 when she embarked on aesthetics training in the prestigious Harley Street. This marked a significant turning point in her career, as she discovered a newfound passion for the field. This year, Sarah achieved another milestone by qualifying as a nurse prescriber, further enhancing her ability to provide comprehensive care and treatment options to her patients.
Driven by her commitment to excellence and continuous professional development, Sarah remains dedicated to staying abreast of the latest advancements in Aesthetics, ensuring that she delivers the highest standard of care to her patients. Her journey exemplifies a steadfast pursuit of knowledge and expertise, underscored by a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of those she serves.
After nearly 20 years as a City insurance broker and a brief career break, Karen joined the Perfect Image Consultants team and has been the Practice Manager since 2013. She has learned so much about the medical aesthetics industry in this time and happily advises patients whenever she can. She is often the first person a patient speak to when they contact the practice, answering any questions they may have and calming any nerves. When not meeting and greeting the patients she is there to make sure that things behind the scenes run smoothly and to keep all the medics in line!
Bela is a key member of our team since 2014, known for his strong skills in both IT and Marketing. He holds a degree in IT Project Management from Oxford and has hands-on experience with advanced technologies such as automation, artificial intelligence, robotics, information systems, and modern web design.
What really makes Bela stand out is his unique approach to marketing. His friendly and creative strategies help connect technology with people, making complex ideas easy to understand and engaging for our clients.
Outside of our company, Bela is also the co-founder of the Quantina Intelligence Research Lab in London, where he leads innovative research and development projects. His work there helps push the boundaries of what’s possible in both tech and business.
