THE PROCEDURE

The procedure involves the area of treatment to be locally anaesthetised with an infiltration under the skin by a 2mm incision. The Smartlipo laser fibre is then inserted through the incision directly in to the targeted fat which then liquefies and destroys the fat cells. This fat is then aspirated and permanently removed from your body. The time taken to do the whole procedure varies depending on the area/s to be treated.

Post Operation we will monitor you in your recovery period and you will be discharged on the same day once we feel you are fit to travel home. You will be given painkillers to take to ease any discomfort, you will also be required to wear a compression garment up to 6 weeks post procedure which will also be provided.

Recovery will be quick and you will be able to resume normal activities within a few days of rest.
